Single Residence Options Empty
PostSubject: Single Residence Options   Single Residence Options EmptySat May 14, 2011 11:44 am

I was just wondering about the best residences. I'm getting a single room and my first choice is Les Prince for sure.

I toured Les Prince but I'm not sure about any of the other ones. What other residences are generally considered to be the better ones in terms of cleanliness and peace and quiet? I'm only looking at single room options, so suite style and others options aren't applicable.

I was also wondering about the system used to determine residence placements. Are you pretty much guaranteed to get your first choice if you have over a 95% average? Do they take those individuals right away and place them in their first choices and then use the computer system to match up the rest?

Thank you.

I'm not sure if you've logged into the res application page yet, but you can't choose a specific residence unless you decide to pick one of the 'themed' floors. In my opinion, it's better not to get attached to a specific residence because then you might be disappointed instead of excited when you find out where you are.

Oh, I didn't realize you don't list specific residences. Thank you.

Les Prince is nice, but it'll be by far the longest walk for iSci classes, which will likely be in MDCL/GS/BSB/Thode

Not being a current Mac student I could be totally wrong about this, but when I toured over March break my tour guide told me that when they guarantee you a 95+ single, it could actually be a "single" inside one of the suites or apartments. Just thought I'd mention that.
