Although I'm not officially a "Big Sib," I would love to help out everyone from iSci 2014 in any way I can! Feel free to ask me questions on the forum (now) or in person (in September, when I meet you all!).

Emily, what exactly does "being a Big Sib" mean? I'm the type of person to "help in the background," but maybe I'll reconsider. =P

Adam, as a BigSib you are a resource to your "LittleSib", so if they have questions about school or how to time manage, or university life in general you will be there to help them or point them in the right direction of where they could find out answers. Or if you knew of an iSci 2013 student who would be able to help them you could ask that 2013 to help (so it is like a family kinda thing, you know who would be able to help etc, but you would be their first go-to person). And then when the 2015 students came, your LittleSib would become a BigSib and then you would now have a LittleSib and a "GrandSib". So it is kinda cool that way too, with the relationships you form and everything. I think it will put a greater emphasis on the sense of community that we already have within iSci after just one year!!

You know what, that sounds too cool to pass up! Go ahead and find me a LittleSib. =P

aha this is definitly interesting....so that means by 2016, iSci 2013 will have grand-grand sib?

Ryan- we adopted the idea from artsci because we thought it would be great to have in iSci as well!

Thanks, Natalie! I cannot take all of the credit - it was the society during the year that decided we should do BigSibs!

Actually James, you shoudl have one by 2012...when the 2016 class is in first year.
